St. Louis SHS makes history with back-to-back Super zonal titles in Girls’ division

In a breathtaking finale to the Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools and Colleges Athletics Competition, St. Louis Senior High School (SHS) solidified their dominance, successfully defending their title as champions in the girls’ division. Their historic back-to-back triumph cements their status as a powerhouse in Ghanaian school athletics.

Last year, St. Louis SHS made waves when Aisha Ibrahim delivered a record-breaking performance, clinching six gold medals to propel her school to victory.

This year, the team returned with unwavering determination, fueled by Aisha’s inspiring legacy, and proved once again why they are the team to beat.

Despite fierce competition from T.I. Amass, led by the talented Fulera Sulemana, St. Louis SHS rose to the occasion, unleashing a masterclass in speed, endurance, and sheer willpower that kept spectators at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on the edge of their seats. When the dust settled, St. Louis SHS emerged victorious, their relentless drive and teamwork sealing yet another championship. Yaa Asantewaa SHS put up a valiant fight to claim second place, while T.I. Amass’s impressive efforts secured them third on the podium.

The Ashanti Regional Super Zonals once again provided a grand stage for young athletes to showcase their talents, and St. Louis SHS’s remarkable achievement will undoubtedly inspire the next generation to chase greatness in the world of athletics.
